Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PreddyHub ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our website. We are committed to keeping data collection minimal and transparent.

1. Information we collect

You can browse PreddyHub and make predictions on this device without an account. If you choose to enter the official competition or appear on a leaderboard, you can sign in with Google or with a passwordless link sent to your email. When you sign in we store your email address and a display name you can edit; if you use Google we also receive your name, used only to prefill that display name. We never see or store a password. We also store the predictions, brackets and scoreline entries you submit and — if you arrived through an invite link — the referral code that referred you. We do not collect or store payment information.

Sign-in and this competition data are processed and stored on our behalf by Supabase, our authentication and database provider. We also collect limited, non-identifying usage information automatically, as described below.

2. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate usage — for example, which pages are most popular. Where Google Analytics is enabled, IP addresses are anonymised. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark theme preference, to keep you signed in (your session), and to save the predictions you make on this device. A referral code from an invite link is stored briefly so it can be credited when you sign in. If analytics or advertising are enabled, those third-party services may set their own cookies. You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time.

4. Advertising

We may display advertising through third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising through your Google Ads settings.

5. Third-party links

Our site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

6. Children's privacy

Our service is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. As we collect minimal data, this typically relates only to information you have voluntarily sent us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
